International singing sensation Charice Pempengco denied the allegations of her maternal grandmother that she recently attempted to commit suicide because of financial problems.
The 21-year-old singer broke her silence and said that there is no truth to her Grandmother Teresita Relucio’s accusation that she slashed her wrist to end her life, according to a statement she sent to ABS-CBN through her manager Glenn Aldueza.
Pempengco revealed that she is a lesbian in June and said that she is happy with her decision to come out and fought for her girlfriend Alyssa Quijano.
On the other hand, her decision started her estrangement from her family and she hopes that the grudges between them will be mended someday.
The news about the alleged suicide attempt of Charice was revealed during her grandmother’s interview with Cristy Fermin on TV5 program “Showbiz Police last month.”
