The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) has already released the new contribution table 2014 for all voluntary, employed, OFWs and sponsored members which will be implement starting this January.
The implementation of new schedule was postponed in 2013 because of public clamor against it despite the approval to increase Philhealth’s member premium contribution based on Philhealth board resolution no. 1571 series of 2011.
PhilHealth Premium Contribution Rate Table 2014:
The Board resolution 1842 series of 2013 sanctioned the Philhealth to implement the increase of contribution starting January 2014.
Starting January 2014 the agency will implement the new premium rate of P2, 400 for individually paying members (IPMs) with a monthly income of P25, 000 and below. The new premium rate of P3, 600 for IPMs with a monthly income of over P25, 000 will be implemented also.
It was stated in Philhealth Circular no. 27 series of 2013, for the employed sector, the new premium rate will be at 2.5% of their salary. The salary base will start at 8,000 to 35,000. It means members who pay 175 pesos monthly will pay 200 per month of the same salary bracket.

All Philhealth members based on the new schedule are entitled to in-patient hospital care including all rate pacakages and catastrophic illnesses in the Case Z Type Benefit Package, outpatient coverage, and other special benefit packages under the National Health Insurance program (NHIP).
