Vhong Navarro, the “It’s Showtime” co-host was hospitalized and now recovering after the unknown group of men allegedly tied and beaten him inside a condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
The said incident was confirmed by his manager and film director Chito Rono. He said that Vhong Navarro was invited by a female friend to visit her in her condo.
The 37-year-old comedian and host was reportedly blindfolded and beaten up by several men inside the premises of the condominium.
According to his manager, Navarro was threatened and victim extortion. The real reason behind the attack is still under investigation.
Vhong Navarro will not be seen on “It’s Showtime” which airs from Monday to Saturday while he’s still recovering in the hospital.
His manager further said that he may undergo an operation due to his injuries during the incident.
