Filipina Daisy Valenzuela passed “The Voice of Ireland” blind auditions on February 2, 2014. She performed “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry.
Valenzuela is about to finish her song when judge Jamelia pushed her button to turn around. Although the performance of Daisy is not perfect for her, she believed that there is something about the voice of the Pinay contestant.
“I don’t think it was a perfect performance but I genuinely believe that your voice, there was something about your voice. I had to turn around. It’s unique. I love the fact that you started in that falsetto. I love the fact that you can belt… It wasn’t a perfect performance but that’s what I’m here for. I’m very excited to work with you,” Jamelia said.
Valenzuela noted that she can sing any song and she’s so happy and excited that Jamelia turned for so she can show her talent to everyone.
